About Susan Dehncke

Susan Dehncke practices in the area of domestic relations, criminal law, abuse and neglect/child protective services issues and guardianship/conservatorship issues. Ms. Dehncke has been in private practice since 2002. Prior to 2002, she was an Assistant Prosecutor with the Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office. Ms. Dehncke handled everything from homicides to traffic tickets. She received an award for Arson Prosecutor of the Year in 2001 and taught at the Arson Investigator’s School for several years.

Ms. Dehncke graduated from Michigan State University and received her law degree from The George Washington University.

Ms. Dehncke has been actively involved on the Board of Directors of the Cascades Humane Society, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Jackson, the AWARE Shelter and the Michigan Women’s Historical Museum and Hall of Fame. Ms. Dehncke has also been a volunteer big sister.

When she is not working and/or volunteering, Ms. Dehncke can be found with her horse, dog and cats.
